These posts are honestly an easy way for us to keep a record of what we’ve done in “school” however, if they interest others? Bonus!
Today was the first day of school in our city and so our first official day as homeschoolers. A BIG day! It flew by so fast, before we knew it, it was 5:00 PM and time for mom to go to work 😢.
Inlike to maintain some semblance of “schedule” while also going with the flow. We get up between 7:30/8:00 in the morning. start a loaf of laundry, have breakfast, clean up as a family with washing, drying and taking care of the dishes as well as wiping down the table/counters.
While the kids got dressed, Caleb wrote a short piece (he hates to write) about our recent trip to Salem, MA and the girls played super heroes wearing pillow cases as capes and Emma donned a pair of sunglasses, I finished up a blog post.
Put the laundry in the dryer and head off to the library! We had some books and movies due yesterday plus some items we returned ahead of time but didn’t get scanned j to the library so were marked overdue. We fixed, paid fines, returned, renued, and picked out some new books and movies then headed to a nearby town to meet some fellow homeschoolers at a park for some playground and Pokemon GO!
Home for lunch a little later than I’d like but we survived. We set Abigail up at the computer with her new Bitsbox coding book, Caleb watched the mummy and I did some coloring with Emily.
All in all, not a bad day. The weather changed our plans for tomorrow but we will see what it brings!
